16th-17th Fall Foliage Festival. Few people associate the High Plains with dazzling fall colors, but
Texas Highways Magazine featured this signature weekend on the cover of their magazine in 2002. The cottonwoods and locusts
turn a deep yellow, and roadside shiny sumac becomes a spectacular red. A unique variety of art events and a tour of Canadian's
living art museum, the Citadel, makes this a weekend you'll never forget.
