Saturday October 16th

Foliage Touring – All day, enjoy an unescorted drive around Canadian and Lake Marvin. Maps are available at the Welcome Center, 216 S. 2nd. St.

 

River Valley Pioneer Museum – 10 am -6 pm, Amarillo Water Color Society Show & Sale in the Gallery Room. Reception for artists, 2-4 p.m.

 

Quilt & Afghan Show – 10 a.m. -5 p.m. WTCU Building, 500 Main Street, $2.00 admission, Quilt Raffle tickets available.

 

Wagon Rides – 10 a.m. – 6 p.m., around Canadian and Lake Marvin. In town pick up at County Recreation Complex.

 

Nature’s Showcase and Guided Tours – 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. Displays and exhibits in Lake Marvin Lodge. Guided nature tours and concessions available.

 

Gerald Holmes – 1 p.m.-6 p.m., Hank the Cowdog illustrator will sketch each houron the hour and demonstrate the art of fly tying on the half hour.

 

Live Falcon Demonstration – Bird viewing 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. Two hour falcon demonstrations by Jimmy Walker, licensed Falconer, begins at 11 a.m.

 

Meet Bob’s Critters – 9 a.m.- 6 p.m. Wildlife Technician Bob Rogers introduces his “wild friends”.

 

Arts & Crafts Fair – 10 a.m. – 6 p.m., Canadian Elementary School, 500 Dogwood.

 

Brisket Dinner – Served 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. Canadian Elementary School, 500 Dogwood, sponsored by Rachel’s Little House. Concessions available all day.

 

Garden & Home Tour – 1 p.m.- 5 p.m. Dallis & Lori Pletcher 315 S. 5th., Terri & Randy McCormick 1520 Main, Mike & Kim McKinney 407 S. 6th. AND THE Arrington Ranch House Lodge 9760 County Rd. 5

 

Canadian River Wagon Bridge Rides – 1 p.m. till dusk, pick up on the south side of Wagon Bridge.

 

Prairie River Musical & Sing A Long – 7:30 p.m. Canadian Middle School Auditorium

404 S. 6th. Free to the public.

 

Fall Foliage Dance – 9 p.m. – 1 a.m. “Night Life” City Hall, 6 Main Street $8.00 per person, $15.00 per couple
